Many leaks are hidden under concrete slabs, inside walls, or underground, where you can't see them. With over 25 years of plumbing experience, Paul doesn't rely on guesswork or a single tool. He uses a combination of methods, choosing the right approach for your home and the type of leak.
Tracer gas leak detection
One of the specialised methods Paul uses is tracer gas detection. The pipe is filled with a safe, non-toxic tracer gas. The gas escapes through the leak and rises up through concrete, soil, tiles and walls. Paul then traces it with a sensitive detector to find where it's coming through. It's especially useful for leaks under slabs, driveways and paths.
